Flights from mainland Ecuador arrive at one of the two main airports in Galapagos, on the islands of Baltra and San Cristobal; on Isabela Island, there is a small airstrip for small planes.
Baltra Island is your first encounter with the natural wonder, where the main Seymour Airport is located. With only 27 km², this island is the entry point for many visitors, built during World War II by the Americans. Just 1 km from the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island, it offers few tourist attractions, except for some souvenir shops for your last-minute needs.
San Cristobal Island, a geological and cultural wonder. As the easternmost island of the archipelago, it offers a unique historical and natural richness.
